Refund Policy
This policy explains when refunds apply and how disputes are handled on AuctionHub.
Escrow and confirmation
Buyer payment is held in escrow until the buyer confirms item receipt. Before confirmation, the buyer can request a refund in eligible cases (e.g. item not received, significantly not as described). After confirmation, payment is released to the seller and standard refund options are limited.
When refunds may apply
- Outbid. If you’re outbid, your held amount is automatically released back to your wallet.
- Reserve not met. If the auction ends without the reserve being met, all bidders are refunded.
- Buyer cancels before confirmation. In qualifying situations (e.g. item not shipped, agreement with seller), we may refund the buyer before release.
- Dispute resolved in buyer’s favor. If a dispute is upheld, we may refund the buyer and reverse or withhold the seller payout as appropriate.
Disputes
Buyers can open a dispute if the item wasn’t received, is materially not as described, or is damaged. We review evidence from both parties and decide whether to refund the buyer, release funds to the seller, or apply another resolution. False or abusive disputes may result in account action.
